Weekly Update for May 24, 2020

Good Afternoon Everyone!
It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night." Psalm 92:1-2
When things are going well and all seems right with the world and with us as individuals, it's easy to proclaim God's "love". It's when things get dark and hard and confusing that it's difficult to proclaim God's "faithfulness". But that's what the psalmist is saying -- that even in the night, God is present with his unfailing love and faithfulness. We just have to proclaim it and make music declaring just that.
That's our prayer for all of us that we would each remember the attributes of our God even when we lack understanding, to remember all those times when God's presence filled us. This is a time when we are in exile. It's a time when we don't necessarily see God or feel the Lord. It doesn't mean God isn't there; just that there's a concealment. Think of the book of Esther where God's name isn't even mentioned, yet behind the scenes, the Lord's hand is there.
May you be blessed with the knowledge that the kingdom of God is at hand; it is within us.
Be sure to tune in on Sunday for our virtual worship service at 10am. The bulletin is attached.
And then on Wednesday at 12:15pm for our Recital and then at 2pm for Pastor Dennis' reflections.
Blessings in Abundance!
