Weekly Update for May 17 2020

Good Afternoon Church!
We hope you'll be able to join us online for worship this Sunday morning at 10:00 am. Here is the bulletin for the morning.
Sometimes it is hard to discern the right course of action, and that's where we find ourselves. Some believe that we should move forward speedily and others are more cautious. Lives and livelihoods are at stake; how do we balance it all?
We are people of faith. We have the Spirit of God within us. At times, we can lose sight of that reality. We can strike out at others. Yet our mandate is compassionate love and respect; we've been given a ministry of reconciliation. Let's remember who we are and to whom we belong. Our God and Savior reigns. There is a throne that is above all the thrones in this world. While we don't always understand the mind of the Almighty, and we get upset and confused when that happens, as people of faith we can cry out to our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, and seek first the kingdom of God and the righteousness that comes with it.
Let's reach out with a helping hand of kindness. As stated by a Rabbi that I know:
"So please be cautious, be strong, be safe, be kind, be attentive, be able to disagree, even strongly disagree, without making the disagreement personal, and may God bless you and all of us with good health and long life."
We are the church of Jesus Christ -- disciples and ambassadors of God's grace, mercy, and love.
Blessings!
