Hour of Grace
A time set aside to love, grow and connect
Sunday School for Families
This inter-generational Sunday School meets from 11:15 AM - noon on Sunday mornings in the Fellowship Hall. Our focus is on “authentic and purposeful” living. Our format incorporates teaching, group discussion, and activities. And of course, there are snacks and beverages!
Don’t miss this opportunity to develop more meaningful relationships in a small group setting! Whether you’re new to church or a long-time member of CUMC (or just visiting), you’ll be welcome.
This is a gathering of adults to discuss scripture, theology, and other faith focused topics that will challenge and reaffirm our faith.
Upcoming Bible Study -- Begins March 4
Making Sense of God: An Invitation to the Skeptical by Timothy Keller
A Sunday Morning Book and Bible Study for Youth and Adults at Coraopolis UMC. We live in an age of skepticism. Our society places such faith in reason, progress, and individualism that it's easy to wonder:
Why should anyone believe in Christianity? In this thoughtful and inspiring book, pastor and New York Times bestselling author Timothy Keller invites skeptics to consider that Christianity is more relevant now than ever. As human beings, we cannot live without meaning, satisfaction, freedom, identity, justice, and hope. Christianity provides us with unsurpassed resources to meet these needs. Written for both the believer and the skeptic, Making Sense of God shines a light on the profound value and importance of Christianity in our lives.
Why this study? To learn and grow beyond our own comfort zones; to answer questions that challenge us; to answer questions that others ask us
When? We begin March 4th, 2018 during the Hour of Grace right after worship.
Format? We begin all together with coffee & snack, then children will go with Pastor Tracy for a special learning time while adults remain with Pastor Dean for the study time.
