The Rev. Amy Wagner
The Rev. Amy Wagner is an ordained elder in the
Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church. She
holds a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary (2005), a
B.A. from Grove City College (2000), and is currently working on a PhD
in Christian Ethics at Loyola University Chicago.
Prior to her appointment at Coraopolis UMC, Amy served as Congregational
Development Coordinator for the Northern Illinois Conference of the
United Methodist Church. Her duties there included leading church health
training workshops, communicating the congregational development goals
of the Annual Conference to local churches, and providing administrative
support for new church starts. Amy has also served as a chaplain at
Interfaith House, a respite facility for ill or injured homeless adults
located on Chicago’s west side; and as a houseparent at All God’s
Children, a residential home for pregnant and parenting teenage girls
located in Nicholasville, KY. Amy loves the green hills of Pennsylvania,
tulips in the springtime, strawberries and dark chocolate anytime (even
better if they are together!), and curling up with a cup of hot tea and
a good book on a quiet evening.
Amy is married to Rob, a patent attorney and corporate litigator who
enjoys golf, computers (Macs!) and Penn State football. They have two
children, Joseph and Grace. Two-year-old Joe’s favorite things are
balls, books and trucks. At four months, Gracie giggles for her mommy,
cuddles with her daddy, and watches big brother Joe intently.
