UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
The United Methodist Women meets four times a year or so and have an annual picnic in June as well as a Christmas Luncheon in December. Over the course of the year we have supported the West Hills Food Pantry, Lydia's Place and our own Ruth Curry's Loving Hands Fund. We have also helped to serve funeral luncheons and did a Lenten luncheon during the recitals this past season. We plan to do a fundraiser in the near future.
The United Methodist Women are seeking new members and invite any or all women of the church to join them. We meet at the church usually on a Wednesday at 12:00 noon with a light lunch served. Our goal is to serve God, our church and our community to the best of our ability.
Our next meeting is Wednesday, September 15th at 12:00 noon in the dining hall and lunch will be served!
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY SUPPORT GROUP will meet at the church. All women are welcome. Join our group and bring a friend!! Tuesdays at 7:00pm. September dates are the 14th & 28th.
We are about growing in faith through Bible Study, finding support, reaching out, and serving others as well as fellowship and fun. If you would like additional information or a ride please feel free to contact Barb Wink.
THE THIRD THURSDAY BOOK CLUB
The Third Thursday Book Club will begin meeting again. Come and join with us this coming year, as we begin our seventh year of the Third Thursday Book Club. We are a group of voracious readers who enjoy getting together to discuss many different kinds of books. We meet at 7:00 PM every third Thursday (when possible) from September through May, with the exception of December. We have chosen the books for the upcoming year so that we can start some during the summer when we are looking for more books to read. If you are looking for good suggestions, ask any of us. We are always coming away after book club with a list of other books to read.
